I heard this song the other day, and as the guy sang it the song started to speak to me. I started to think if my husband ever thought this of me, and if so would he ever tell me? I think as a wife and a homemaker I would love to hear my husband say all these things about me because of where he sees my heart and my efforts pointing to.
At this time I know this is not me… but maybe one day it will be.
I just hope my husband can handle me until then :)
God help me to be the wife and homemaker you want me to be.
"To me she is a beauty queen
I love to watch her on the screen
In our home movies
And when she sings around the house
She's got a voice that knocks me out
She is my favorite singer
But you won't see her on T.V. Or hear her on the radio
Worldly fame is not her aim
And she's the first to let you know
CHORUS: She wants to be a homemaker
It's her dream to raise a family
And give her love to just one man
And I thank God it's me
I'll never underestimate her
'Cause she could take this word and turn it on
But she takes her love And makes our house of home
She can't afford to spend her day
In a old soap opera haze
She's much too busy
At night she puts the kids to bed
She's makin' sure their prayers get said
Before she lays down with me
It's plain to see That she's not seeking glory on this earth
'Cause she believes in honesty
And the joy of giving birth"

hmm
Why is it that God puts some convictions on one persons heart but not another's? Why is it that God chooses to show one person one thing and not another that same thing? Why is it that God chooses one but not another? Things to ponder??????????????

Ears
Well a couple of months ago I found out that my hearing is either leaving on a quick note or that I damaged my hearing when I was younger. It sucks. I can’t hear things that I’m supposed to hear and I can hear the things I don’t need to hear. I feel like I am not being a good wife and mom. I feel inadequate to be these things. I know that the way that I’m feeling is not good but right now I don’t know how to completely give it to God. I feel it is my inadequacy so why should I bother anyone else with it. It sucks and I haven’t been able to let it go. I don’t know what to do. “God please let me be able to give this one to you also.”.

I feel like a squished toad today, With my guts exposed for all the world to see. My house is not clean (and it needs to be for tonight), I have not been where my heart is telling me to go, and I feel like my little world is caving in on me. Who knows what will happen next?
God please help me through my day. I need your hand to show me your way. Please guide me through this crazy day.

THE ROSE
A gardener has a garden and in the garden are roses, beautiful roses. Roses so wonderful that he has willingly invested his time, money, and love into. He has cared for these roses from day one. He pulls the weeds, he waters them, he talks to them, and he prunes them. One day along come some dandelions and they ask the rose if they can grow with you in the garden. You see no harm in them, after all they are so small and you are the beautiful strong rose, so you let them in. They come in and they look so great with their little yellow flowers and their cute white puffs. You like what you see and appreciate the color they add to your day. The gardener sees them and says that the dandelions have to go. You plead to the gardener to let them stay. You see the gardener has different plans. He loves his roses so much and wants to see them flourish. He tries to tell you that the little flowers take away so much from the roses. In the long-run and if you let them they will just destroy the wonderful garden he created for you. The rose still liking her little flowers, wants them to stay. The gardener allows them to stay. What else can the gardener do, he loves his roses and wants to see them happy. He never looses sight of the roses that he loves so much though. He allows the dandelions to spread their seed and blossom wherever they want to. He still watches his beloved garden wondering if the rose will see that the little flower that she cares for is trying to do.
To her surprise she starts to wilt. She knows that she is not getting enough. But she doesn't know what she is not getting enough of. So she continues to wilt, the gardener comes to her and asks again if he can pull up all the dandelions around her and treat her soil so that they wont come back. She again argues that it might hurt the cute little flowers. He again says do you not think I have your best interest in mind? Confused of what to do she remember that he has always been there for her and always cared for her. Not once does she remember him missing a watering or a fertilizing. She gives him the go ahead just knowing that she will miss her beloved friends she allowed to come into her garden and live.
You see the gardener knew the big picture he had seen this happen before; he knows the outcome before she did. The rose did not see that the little thing she thought to be good was not. In her blindness she did not see the dandelions strangling the life out of her and stealing her nourishment.
If the gardener did not know what was going on do you think the rose would have died? If the gardener knows so much why didn't he just go against the rose and kill what was stealing her life, her nourishment, and her joy?

-DIDI- my grandpa
Today I went to a funeral. No it wasn't my grandpas, but it was the first military ceremony I have been to since my grandpa was laid to rest eight years ago. Taps...Why is this song so touching and why are the shots that are fired so heart wrenching? How can time stand so still as those guns are being fired? As the shots rang in my ear one after another, my life was right back in California when my grandpa died. I did not realize until today how much I have missed my grandfather over the years or how much I have tried to put the feeling of loss behind me. As I drove home my guts fell out I sat there remembering all that had taken place eight years ago. I can see what was going on as they shot off the guns. I can smell the dust floating in the hot sun. I can hear the taps play from over head and I can see the men fold my grandfathers flag and with each step they would pause as in to remember another fallen soldier. I can see my grandmother receive her flag from off of the casket, and remember the tears that were in her eyes that just seemed to continue to flow. So tonight I sit here and remember all the good times that happened when he was alive and all the fun I used to have as we would sail in his sail boat around Shadow Cliffs. I miss him so much...

Relationships - something to ponder
The perfect relationship in the Bible is the Trinity. God created all relationships to mimic that one. They are one but have a submission order; the Son and the Spirit submit to the Father. Just like in our marital relationships husband ,wife and God are one but they follow a submission order. The wife submits to the husband and the husband submits to God. Thought that thought was pretty cool. We are to reflect the trinity in our marriage.
